Carol (Macaca nemestrina) is well adapted to her environment with hard patches on her bottom to make sitting in branches more comfortable, and cheek pouches for storing food. When she gets fed, she puts as much food in her cheek pouches as can fit so she can eat it later at her leisure. She uses her eyebrows to communicate so if you watch her, she pull some very cute faces.
Pigtail Macaque monkeys live in lowland, swamp and highland forests of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, China, Burma, Laos and Cambodia.
Their diet is omnivorous (eating both animal and vegetable foods) with 74% of their diet consisting of fruit, but they also consume a wide variety of foods including insects, seeds, young leaves, leaf stems, dirt, and fungus.
